Chloé

Chloé

Chloé is a French luxury ready-to-wear house founded in Paris in 1952 by Egyptian-born designer Gaby Aghion. A pioneer of luxury prêt-à-porter, the brand is known for its romantic, bohemian femininity and its legacy of extraordinary creative directors.

Gaby Aghion founded Chloé in 1952 with a singular vision: to offer women the artistry of haute couture in comfortable, wearable, off-the-rack clothes — a concept so new it helped invent the very category of luxury prêt-à-porter. The house presented its first seasonal collection at the iconic Café de Flore in 1957, cementing its reputation as a crossroads of fashion and Parisian intellectual culture. Over the following decades, Chloé cultivated one of fashion’s most distinguished rosters of creative directors — Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Phoebe Philo, and Clare Waight Keller among them — each leaving a distinct imprint on the house’s fluid, body-conscious aesthetic. Today, as part of the Richemont Group, Chloé champions a philosophy of responsible luxury, committed to sustainability without sacrificing its signature feminine ease.
